Job summary
Prosperity Bank in Lubbock, TX seeks a Credit Analyst responsible for underwriting, monitoring, and portfolio management of Commercial Banking relationships. You will analyze financial data for loan requests, monitor client performance, and support the loan portfolio structure and risk controls.
The role requires 2–3 years of banking experience focused on credit analysis/underwriting, with proficiency in Word/Excel/PowerPoint and financial spreading software.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or business concentration preferred.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and financial spreading software.
Responsibilities
- Assist with due diligence/analysis of new client relationships and opportunity memos.
- Manage the renewal process with the Relationship Manager, client, and credit department.
- Prepare loan packages, make presentations, and participate in loan approvals.
- Oversee loan modifications/waivers to credit agreements.
- Coordinate loan closings with outside counsel and internal teams.
- Assist and join in business development calls.
- Perform annual loan reviews as needed.
- Monitor repayment activity and collect past due accounts.
- Maintain portfolio confidentiality and risk management per policy.
