Job summary

BMO Financial Group seeks a Credit Analyst for Commercial Banking loans. You will analyze credit information, prepare detailed credit summaries, and assist in decisions aligned with risk policies.

You will support loan structuring, monitor portfolio performance, and help expand client relationships in collaboration with Relationship Managers. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, risk assessment, and proactive problem-solving while adhering to bank policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Business Administration, Finance and Accounting preferred. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
• Preferred 1–3 years of relevant experience in credit or lending instruments or financial operations in a corporate or banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes credit information and supports lending decisions for Commercial banking loans.
• Prepares detailed credit summaries and risk assessments for the portfolio.
• Supports negotiation of loan terms and structuring aligned with client needs and risk policies.
• Monitors portfolio performance and ensures loan documentation integrity.
• Identifies revenue and cross-selling opportunities and expands client relationships.
• Maintains client relationships in collaboration with Relationship Manager and business partners.
