Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a Commercial Banking Credit Analyst to analyze credit information and support lending decisions for an assigned portfolio. You will prepare detailed credit summaries, assess risk, and collaborate with Relationship Managers to structure loans that meet client needs while aligning with risk policies.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in credit or lending, a bachelor’s degree, and strong analytical and client-service skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Business Administration, Finance or Accounting preferred.
• 1–3 years of credit or lending experience in a corporate or banking environment.
• Strong analytical and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze credit information and financial performance to support lending decisions for commercial loans.
• Prepare credit summaries and risk assessments for assigned client portfolios.
• Support negotiation and structuring of loan terms.
• Monitor portfolio performance and ensure compliance with policy and risk guidelines.
• Develop proposals to grow client relationships and capture new business.
