Job summary

Brex is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join its Legal team. You will handle the negotiation of Brex customer contracts, work with sales and deal desk, and ensure terms protect the company's interests while supporting rapid growth.

You will also draft and negotiate vendor agreements, advise on privacy, security, and cross-functional issues, and help develop contracting playbooks and CLM workflows to scale our commercial operations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial law experience in-house or at a tech firm.
• JD and active bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex technology and commercial contracts.
• Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate customer agreements with sales and deal desk.
• Support inbound vendor contracts and other tech agreements.
• Improve contracting processes and implement CLM tools.
• Advise cross-functional teams on contract terms and risks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into legal terms.
