Job summary

Canto is seeking its first in-house Commercial Counsel to lead and scale our commercial contracting function. You will own negotiation and execution of SaaS agreements, DPAs, NDAs, and MSAs, while shaping a scalable, AI-enabled contracting operation across Sales, Finance, and leadership.

You will manage data privacy work under GDPR/CCPA, implement CLM systems, and collaborate with Security, Product, and legal teams to drive growth with risk-aware speed. Remote in US with EST/CST alignment.

Qualifications

• Experience negotiating SaaS and data-privacy related agreements.
• Proven ability to build scalable legal processes in a growth SaaS company.
• Comfort working with Sales, Finance, and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and execute commercial SaaS agreements (MSAs, subscriptions, DPAs, NDAs).
• Scale contracting operations with AI-enabled workflows and CLM systems.
• Lead data privacy work including GDPR/CCPA and related frameworks.
