Job summary

Canto is hiring its first in-house Commercial Counsel to build and scale a modern legal function for a fast‑growing SaaS platform. You will own end-to-end contracting, negotiate MSAs, DPAs, NDAs, and help sales move quickly within guardrails.

You’ll implement CLM, AI-enabled review tools, and governance processes across US and international teams. This is a builder role with cross‑functional impact and opportunities to shape policy.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of SaaS or tech law experience.
• In-house or hybrid experience preferred.
• Ability to translate complex concepts for non-lawyers.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and manage commercial SaaS agreements.
• Scale contracting operations and implement CLM templates.
• Lead privacy and data governance discussions with stakeholders.
• Partner with Sales and executive leadership to align legal strategy.
