Job summary

Canto is hiring its first in-house legal leader to scale a modern contracting function for a fast-growing SaaS company. You will own end-to-end contracting operations, negotiate MSAs, DPAs, NDAs, and drive AI-enabled processes to accelerate deal velocity while controlling risk.

You will partner with Sales, Finance, and the executive team to implement CLM, establish playbooks, and ensure GDPR/CCPA compliance across US and EU operations.

Qualifications

• JD and active bar membership in good standing.
• 5–8 years of legal experience in SaaS or technology, in-house or mix of law firm and in-house.
• Strong experience negotiating commercial SaaS agreements including MSAs, DPAs, NDAs.
• Working knowledge of GDPR and CCPA.

Responsibilities

• Drive negotiation and execution of commercial SaaS agreements with guardrails.
• Lead end-to-end contracting operations and implement CLM and AI tools.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, and executives on privacy, data governance, and risk.
