Job summary

Genesys is seeking a Commercial Corporate Counsel to support the North America sales organization, handling cloud and SaaS transactions, privacy, security, and AI considerations. You will own and influence commercial matters, negotiating agreements and shaping templates at scale.

Partner with Sales, Data Privacy, Security, Product Counsel, and Finance to drive alignment on strategy and processes while advising on evolving business models and risk.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent law degree from an accredited school.
• Active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar.
• 2+ years of relevant legal experience, ideally in-house.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Ability to offer practical, business-focused legal advice.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate cloud services and SaaS agreements, NDAs, statements of work and related documents.
• Balance business objectives with legal risk to drive timely resolutions.
• Advise Sales and stakeholders on data privacy, security, AI, and other tech-transaction issues.
• Develop scalable contract templates for recurring transactions and evolving models.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align contracting strategy and processes.
• Improve contracting efficiency through standards, playbooks, and templates.
