Job summary

Genesys seeks a Commercial Corporate Counsel to support the North America sales organization. You will negotiate cloud/SaaS agreements, advise on data privacy and AI concerns, and collaborate across privacy, security, product, and finance functions to shape contracting standards.

As part of a global AI-powered customer experience platform, you will help create scalable templates, playbooks, and business-focused legal guidance while managing risk in complex technology transactions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing in a U.S. state or territory.
• 2+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house.
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Ability to provide practical business-oriented legal guidance with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including cloud services and SaaS.
• Balance business objectives with legal risk to move transactions forward.
• Advise Sales and stakeholders on data privacy, security, AI, and related issues.
• Develop scalable contract templates for recurring transactions and evolving models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align contracting strategy and processes.
• Monitor regulatory developments and translate into practical guidance.
