The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of commercial construction project management experience and is confident managing schedules, contracts, subcontractors, budgets, and client relationships. This position offers a high degree of autonomy and is best suited for someone who can take initiative, solve problems independently, and keep projects moving without constant oversight.

What You'll Do
  • Manage commercial construction projects from pre-construction through completion and closeout.
  • Act as a key point of contact for owners, clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and proactively address delays or scheduling conflicts.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, materials, and other resources to keep projects on schedule.
  • Manage contracts, subcontracts, change orders, purchase orders, and other project documentation.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, commitments, and overall financial performance.
  • Review construction drawings, plans, specifications, scopes of work, and contracts.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with owners and project teams.
  • Identify potential problems early and develop practical solutions to minimize their impact on cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Track project progress and provide updates to ownership, clients, and company leadership.
  • Coordinate procurement and material deliveries as needed.
  • Help ensure work is completed in accordance with contract requirements, plans, specifications, schedules, and quality expectations.
  • Manage punch lists, project documentation, warranties, and other closeout requirements.
  • Maintain organized and accurate project records throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Experience working directly with owners and/or clients.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently and making decisions without constant direction.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent problem-solving and follow-through.
  • Proficiency with construction/project management software and Microsoft Office.
The Right Fit

Our client is looking for more than someone who can simply manage paperwork. The right candidate will be a hands-on project leader who understands construction, takes ownership of their projects, and knows how to keep people, schedules, and budgets moving in the right direction.

You should be comfortable communicating with ownership and clients, coordinating with subcontractors and vendors, identifying potential issues before they become major problems, and making decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.

If you're an experienced commercial construction PM who enjoys having responsibility and autonomy—and wants to be part of a team where your experience is valued—this could be an excellent opportunity.
