Pleasant Valley Corporation in Medina, Ohio, is seeking a Commercial Construction Estimator to develop accurate, competitive estimates for projects ranging from ground-up construction to tenant improvements, from $250K to $15M. You will lead estimating from plan review through bid submission and partner with Project Management for a smooth estimate-to-execution transition.

The role requires a minimum of five years in commercial estimating, proficiency with plan takeoffs, RFPs, and takeoff

Qualificações

• Minimum of five years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Strong knowledge of plans, specifications, RFPs, quantity takeoffs, scopes of work, GC, and GR.
• Experience soliciting, reviewing, and leveling subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Proficiency with electronic plan reading and takeoff software and Microsoft Project.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; CPE a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Review plans, specifications, RFPs, and bid documents; perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and project requirements.
• Develop bid packages, solicit and level subcontractor and supplier pricing, clarify scope, and ensure complete and competitive bid coverage.
• Evaluate project requirements, site conditions, schedules, risks, and cost-saving opportunities; prepare conceptual, budget, and detailed estimates as needed.
• Develop proposals and Basis of Estimate documentation, including pricing, assumptions, inclusions, exclusions, allowances, and clarifications, and respond to client questions.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams; support project handoffs and buyout activities while mentoring junior estimating staff and maintaining established estimating standards.
