Job summary

Pleasant Valley Corporation in Medina, Ohio, seeks a Commercial Construction Estimator to develop accurate estimates for projects from $250K to $15M. Lead estimates from plan review through bid submission and support project handoffs with Project Management.

Requirements include at least five years of estimating experience, strong plan/spec takeoff skills, and proficiency with takeoff software and MS Project. A CM/Engineering degree is preferred; CPE is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Strong knowledge of plans, specifications, RFPs, quantity takeoffs, scopes of work and General Conditions.
• Bid management experience: solicit, review and level subcontractor and supplier bids with pricing accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Manage bid packages and pricing, solicit bids, clarify scope and ensure competitive coverage.
• Identify project opportunities and risks, prepare conceptual, budget and detailed estimates.
• Prepare proposals with Basis of Estimate, pricing, assumptions and exclusions.
• Collaborate with clients, subs, and internal teams to support handoffs and maintain estimating standards.
