Job Description: Multi-Family Construction Estimator

Since 2009, Wesco Exteriors, Inc. has served commercial and multifamily clients in new construction projects and major renovation/repairs. We are a family-owned and operated company with a close, tight-knit team whose talents and core values align with our high standards. We have experienced constant growth for over a decade and are now seeking to add an additional estimator to our team. The associate will be responsible for all aspects of estimation, requiring a minimum of five years of previous experience. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Multi-Family Construction Estimator based in Jamestown, NC. The estimator will prepare detailed cost estimates for multi-family construction projects, perform quantity take-offs, manage project costs, and develop budgets. Collaboration with project managers and the construction team is vital to ensure accuracy and efficiency. The focus is on preparing accurate and competitive estimates for projects including siding, roofing, gutters, windows, doors, and interior renovations, analyzing plans, specifications, and site conditions to support project planning and execution.

Candidates must have a valid NC Driver's License with a good driving record, pass a criminal background check and drug screening, and have favorable references.

Roles and responsibilities include:

1. Estimating projects using programs like Xactimate and PlanSwift, ensuring projects are completed within budget. Adjust estimates for scope changes, unforeseen conditions, or client requests.
2. Reviewing and understanding drawings, identifying missing or mislabelled materials, and recommending change orders before project start.
3. Conducting on-site evaluations and take-offs for measurements related to siding, roofing, gutters, windows, doors, and other projects.
4. Managing construction contract drafts, obtaining permits, and maintaining records.
5. Collaborating with sales, project management, and field teams for accurate and timely estimates.
6. Sourcing and updating pricing from vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers; analyzing labor, materials, equipment, and time requirements.
7. Upholding company standards, ensuring client needs are met, and submitting change orders promptly.
8. Working under deadlines in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with engineers, architects, and vendors.
9. Ensuring compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Qualifications
