Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors in Bentonville, AR is seeking a Concrete Estimator to prepare accurate bid proposals and scope analyses for new and changing projects. You will compile take-offs, estimate labor, materials, equipment, and purchasing costs to arrive at competitive prices with appropriate margins.

Responsibilities include reviewing bids, drawings, and specifications, attending pre-bid meetings, and coordinating with the Project Manager on buyouts and safety considerations.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years estimating large commercial self-perform concrete projects.
• Knowledge of cast-in-place concrete, footings and foundations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with contractors and suppliers.
• Familiarity with estimating software packages; MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand bid instructions; prepare material take-offs.
• Estimate labor, materials, equipment, and buyout items for complete price estimates.
• Review proposals and drawings; determine scope and develop quantity take-offs.
• Incorporate safety in means and methods during estimating phase.
• Develop relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, owners, and general contractors.
• Manage buyout process with Project Manager.
