Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors seeks a Concrete Estimator in Oklahoma City to prepare accurate bid proposals and scope analyses for new and existing projects. You will develop quantity takeoffs, estimate labor, materials, and equipment costs, and work with the Project Manager on buyout and procurement to protect margins.

Ideal candidates bring at least 2 years of experience in large commercial self-perform concrete estimating, strong reading of technical drawings and specifications, and proficiency

Qualifications

• At least 2 years estimating successful large commercial self-perform concrete projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and legal documents.
• Knowledge of related structural products including joist, deck, stairs, rails, anchor rods, etc.
• Knowledge of estimating software packages and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Read bid instructions, prepare material takeoffs and the price estimate.
• Estimate labor, materials, buyout items and equipment costs (including crane costs).
• Review proposals, specs and drawings; attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work.
• Incorporate safety in estimating decisions and communicate risk and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, owners, and general contractors.
• Coordinate buyout process with the Project Manager.
