• Verifies policy coverage, gathers information, and maintains file documentation.
• Provides regular, timely updates and responds to inquiries from insureds and customers.
• Determines liability and potential value by reviewing policy language and claim handling protocols.
• Collaborates with internal and external partners to facilitate best claim outcomes.
• With manager approval, authorizes claim disbursements within authority.
• Identifies subrogation/salvage opportunities or potential fraud and refers appropriately.
• Maintains compliance with state/local regulatory requirements for the line of business.
