Job summary

CoolSys is seeking a Service Tech 3 to repair, maintain, diagnose, test and inspect advanced mechanical refrigeration systems across facilities. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot compressors, and perform preventive maintenance while upholding safety standards.

The role requires 3–5 years of commercial HVAC/refrigeration experience, EPA certifications, and strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety procedures. On-site work with a diverse client base across industries is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or completion from trade program or technical school.
• EPA Certification (Type I, II and III).
• All required safety certifications.
• 3–5 years' work experience in commercial HVAC, refrigeration.
• Experience on refrigeration equipment in supermarkets and industrial chillers.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of water flow, cooling towers, and ammonia systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides preventative and corrective service on refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• Reads drawings and interprets electrical/code specifications for wiring layouts.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and control systems.
• Performs inspections and maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ensures safety practices and participates in PSM/RMP programs.
• Trains other team members and assists with project work.
