Job summary

Truist is seeking a leader to head the Commercial Card Sales team serving the Commercial and Middle Market lines. The role focuses on driving profitability, growth, and revenue through strategic initiatives and disciplined pipeline management.

The position requires 10 years in Commercial Card sales and 5 years in leadership, plus the ability to travel up to 60%. You will develop talent, collaborate with Card Implementation, Product, and Relationship Management, and represent the team in industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable combination of education and work experience.
• 10 years of proven success selling Commercial Card or related financial services.
• 5 years of experience in management or leadership roles.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office; up to 60% travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead Commercial Card Sales teammates across assigned Commercial and Middle Market coverage.
• Set the vision and strategy, establish profitability, growth, and revenue goals, and develop and execute sales initiatives.
• Guide and coach the sales team in consultative selling techniques.
• Grow sales through disciplined pipeline management, client outreach, talent development, and compensation design.
• Ensure strong connectivity with clients, partners, and Card teams (Implementation, Product, Relationship Management).
• Recruit and develop top talent and support their advancement within the organization.
• Represent the Sales organization internally and externally, including at industry presentations.
• Follow policies, escalate issues and risks to leadership.
