Prosperity Bank is seeking a Credit Underwriter to manage underwriting, monitoring, and portfolio oversight for Commercial Banking clients in the Houston area. The role entails analyzing financial data, evaluating cash-flow and collateral-based credits, and supporting loan package preparation and presentations through the bank's approval process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of banking experience focused on credit analysis/underwriting.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and financial spreading software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with due diligence/analysis of new client relationships and opportunity memos.
• Manage renewal process in collaboration with Relationship Manager and Credit Department.
• Prepare loan packages, make presentations, and participate in loan approval processes.
• Oversee modifications/amendments/waivers to existing credit agreements.
• Coordinate loan closings with outside counsel and internal teams.
• Support business development efforts with Relationship Manager.
• Perform portfolio maintenance tasks including covenant compliance and reporting.
• Manage small loan/deposit portfolios and ensure adherence to credit policy and regulations.
