Qualifications

• College degree in business or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience. College coursework should include accounting, finance, and financial statement analysis.
• Completion of a banking internship desired.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial statements, industry data, and customer profiles.
• Ability to produce both oral and written presentations.
• Ability to apply concepts such as trends, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes client-specific financial statements, spreads, and ratios as well as broader industry and economic risks that could jeopardize loan repayment.
• Receives instruction from loan officers to review credit issues and obtain additional information, including outside calls as required.
• Prepare credit memorandums that summarize lending opportunities, the associated risks, and the proposed loan structure.
• Describes how loan structures mitigate identified risks.
• Identify high-risk credit situations and take appropriate action to ensure that the Bank is well protected.
• Other duties as assigned.
