Job summary

The Baldwin Group is seeking a Commercial Account Manager to serve as a trusted partner to Advisors, Directors Risk Management, and clients, maintaining accounts and delivering high service levels.

You will manage files, process renewals, coordinate with carriers, review contracts, and assist with inquiries, leveraging your communication and coordination skills. This role requires 3+ years of experience in commercial insurance and a state license where required.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to present information clearly in written and verbal form.
• Strong proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate with clients, carriers, and agency staff effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client files in Agency Management System and document communications per procedures.
• Compose professional correspondence via letter, email, or other means.
• Perform accounting tasks including invoicing, premium allocation, and related duties.
• Monitor and relay claims information; coordinate with the agency.
• Advise insureds on coverage and exposure; assist with additional placements as needed.
• Attend client meetings with Advisors or Directors Risk Management when requested.
• Assist colleagues in handling client inquiries and workflow tasks.
• Manage day-to-day client account activities: reviews, renewals, certificates, renewals, and leases.
• Handle inquiries via phone and email with timely follow-up for service.
• Develop referrals from current clients and pursue new business via prospect databases.
• Maintain strong relationships with carrier partners and understand carrier requirements.
