Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate patient placements in inpatient units.

Work Setting: On-site

Hours per Week: 32 —- Shift Hours: 3p-1a on Sunday, M-W 11p-6a

Additional details about schedule: scheduled to work 1-10 hour evening shift on Sunday, 3-7 hour night shifts Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, includes a rotating holiday and weekend requirement

What you need to know about this position:

The Command Center is the control system for the placement of patients and the scheduling of staff resources within the inpatient nursing units of the hospital.

As a member of this team you are integral to ensuring that the patient flow within the hospital is smooth and contributes to an overall positive patient experience.

As a Resource Specialist you schedule, monitor and coordinate with hospital staff to ensure that we have the right people in the right place to meet the needs of our patients 24 hours a day.

You will work with departments within the hospital and other facilities to facilitate the transfer of a patient to the right bed in a timely manner.

Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.

This position is hourly and is eligible for applicable shift differentials and Sunday/holiday premiums.

In a status of at least 16 hours per week, employees are benefit eligible.

What is required for this position:

• Associates degree and 1 year of healthcare experience


• 5 years of healthcare experience


• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Lean Sigma experience preferred.

This position is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers to handle controls, require the ability to talk and hear; is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arm and the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
