Job summary

MasTec Industrial is seeking a Welder for site-based fabrication and installation across metal components. You will perform GTAW, SMAW, FACW, and GMAW welds per project needs, read blueprints and welding symbols, and coordinate with pipefitters and electricians.

• 4+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, weld symbols and other instructions to perform tasks.
• Perform GTAW, SMAW, FACW, GMAW and other welds per project needs.
• Field install welds including structural components and piping as required.
• Prepare welding surfaces and select fillers per welding procedures.
• Coordinate with pipe fitters and electricians; work with other crafts as needed.
• Adhere to safety, quality control and site regulations.
