MasTec Industrial is seeking a Combo Pipe Welder JM for our ABERNATHY, TX site. The role involves joining metal components using GTAW, SMAW, FACW, GMAW and other welding methods per project specs, while following WPS and site safety rules.

Qualifications

• 4+ years related experience and/or training.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret welding plans and specs.
• Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs.
• Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts and travel up to 90%.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, weld symbols and instructions.
• Perform GTAW, SMAW, FACW, GMAW welds as required by project.
• Field install welds: structural components, ductwork, attachment points.
• Prepare welding surfaces to proper joint detail.
• Coordinate with pipe fitters and other trades as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and communicate hazards to Foreman.
• Work overtime and shifts as required.
