Job summary

Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks a Systems Engineer skilled in MATLAB and Python to analyze combat systems data for current and future missile defense platforms. Qualifications

  • BS degree or higher in Systems Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Mathematics, or a comparable background.

Responsibilities

  • Validate system performance for current and future Integrated Air and Missile Defense Systems through analysis of ground test, flight test, and operational data.
  • Develop novel techniques to improve analysis processes and anomaly identification.
  • Collaborate with sponsors and prime contractor representatives to perform root cause analysis of performance deficiencies and develop corrective actions.
  • Develop domain expertise and knowledge of Aegis command‑and‑decision algorithms and IAMD concepts.
