Job summary

  • Strong MATLAB and/or Python programming capability.
  • Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance starting date, then Final Secret; US citizenship required.
  • Preferred: DoD/War Department experience or work with prime contractors.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering practices and design influence.
  • Experience with Aegis Weapon System data preferred.
  • Active Secret clearance a plus.

Responsibilities

  • We validate the performance of current and future Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems by analyzing ground test, flight test, and operational data.
  • We develop new approaches to improve analysis workflows and strengthen anomaly detection.
  • We work closely with sponsors and prime contractor representatives to perform root cause analysis of performance shortfalls and define corrective actions.
  • We build domain expertise and deepen our understanding of Aegis command-and-decision algorithms and Integrated Air and Missile Defense concepts.
  • We assess command and control systems and algorithms and analyze system-level performance for current and future Aegis Combat System baselines and coordinated air and missile defense architectures such as Golden Dome for America.

Job description

Requirements
Must have:
  • We require a bachelors degree or higher in Systems Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
  • We require at least 2 years of experience in combat systems engineering and/or analyzing missile defense system test data.
  • We need strong programming capability in MATLAB and/or Python.
  • We require the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance by the start date and ultimately a Final Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship is required and a government security investigation will be necessary.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience in the Department of Defense or Department of War, or with a prime contractor supporting those organizations.
  • Preferred qualifications also include familiarity with systems engineering practices and influencing system design.
  • Additional advantage is experience working with Aegis Weapon System data.
  • Holding an active Secret or higher clearance is a plus.
