Are you a critical thinker who loves exploring data to discover issues and find innovative ways to tackle problems? Are you passionate about solving the nation's most challenging technical missile defense problems? If so, we're looking for someone like you to join our team at APL.

We are seeking a skilled and hard‑working missile defense command & control analyst to join the Cross‑Domain Battle Management group in the Air and Missile Defense Sector. In this role, you will use your skills and knowledge of machine learning, data science, and analysis to identify improvements and develop new solutions for our nation's missile defense systems.

As a Missile Defense Command & Control Analyst you will …
  • Develop and modify analysis, modeling and simulation products for capturing the behavior of key systems of importance for missile defense and space domain awareness missions.
  • Develop strong analysis tools and products for supporting government and contractor stakeholders to identify and resolve key issues.
  • Apply modern machine learning and data science tools to our M&S and analytical capabilities, including potential prototype algorithmic development.
  • Review and present key findings, issues, and opportunities at major reviews as required by sponsor and contractor stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Possess a Masters degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
  • Have 4+ years of experience working with missile defense command and control analysis, particularly with the Aegis missile defense system.
  • Be skilled in modern data science techniques and have an interest in applying them in novel ways to analysis and concept development pipelines.
  • Be willing and able to travel occasionally to government and contractor sites within the continental US in support of briefings and test events.
  • Hold a Secret security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

Pay Range

Minimum Rate: $100,000 Annually
Maximum Rate: $245,000 Annually
