Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks Combat Engineer personnel to design and build bridges, secure perimeters, and deploy defensive positions while safely handling explosives. You will learn demolitions, obstacle construction, and heavy equipment operation through hands-on training.

Earn while you learn with paid training and a structured path to a civilian construction career, while serving part-time with the Army National Guard.

Qualifications

• Must be enlisted in the Army National Guard.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ages 17–35.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Citizenship requirements

Responsibilities

• Construct fighting positions, fixed/floating bridges, obstacles, and defensive positions.
• Place and detonate explosives.
• Conduct route clearance of obstacles and rivers
