Job summary

Bluegrass Supply Chain in Columbus, OH seeks a dynamic Warehouse Manager to lead our daily warehouse operations, ensuring safe handling of inventory, on-time inbound/outbound shipments, and continuous improvement across processes.

You will develop and coach a high-performing team, optimize layout and space, monitor key metrics, and partner with leadership to drive productivity, quality, and cost control while maintaining a culture of safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of warehouse management or operations leadership experience.
• Forklift certification required; heavy forklift experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success leading and developing teams.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in WMS platforms and Microsoft Office.
• Solid knowledge of inventory management, shipping/receiving, and logistics operations.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, coach, and supervise warehouse associates, forklift operators, and order pickers.
• Set clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable.
• Develop a culture of safety, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Identify and develop future leaders within the operation.
• Oversee receiving, storage, inventory control, and order fulfillment processes.
• Ensure on-time, accurate processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and accuracy metrics and implement improvements.
• Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to maximize efficiency.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through effective cycle counting and physical inventory processes.
• Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to ensure accountability.
• Leverage Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to improve visibility and performance.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct safety training, audits, and routine inspections.
• Oversee warehouse equipment maintenance and ensure proper documentation.
