General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. is seeking a Propulsion Plant Fluids engineer to support the COLUMBIA Class propulsion plant design, construction, and testing efforts.

You will interface with customers, NAVSEA, NNL, and various departments to deliver integrated piping, valves, pumps, and steam/ electrical interfaces across the submarine program. The role covers troubleshooting, disposition development, procedure support, and field- or shop-based construction surveillance, with emphasis on

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, Marine, Civil, Chemical or an equivalent engineering degree.
• 5-9 years of relevant post-graduate engineering experience.
• Advanced engineering degree (preferred).
• Experience with fluid systems and components.
• Columbia Class construction or Major Submarine Overhaul experience (preferred).
• Reactor Plant Cleanliness qualified (preferred).
• Steam Plant Cleanliness qualified (preferred).
• Propulsion Plant Trained (S9G or other) (preferred).
• Experience with the TeamCenter/NX IPDE tool (preferred).

• Troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Developing engineering dispositions including Engineering Reports, Change Requests/Change Notices (CR/CN) and test inspection reports (TIRs)/UNSATs.
• Disposition of vendor information requests (VIRs).
• Operating Procedures and Test Procedures support and leadership.
• Steam and Electric Plant Manual, Reactor Plant Manual, Ship’s System Manual, and component manual development and maintenance.
• Test gear drawing development and maintenance.
• Test procedure development and maintenance.
• Construction surveillance of fluid systems.
• Reactor Plant and Steam Plant Cleanliness issue resolution and approval.
• New Construction Nuclear Construction and Repair (NCR) notices development, approval, and execution.
