Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. seeks a seasoned supervisor to lead 6-8 engineers supporting deck plate electrical systems for the COLUMBIA Class.

The role involves overseeing installation, testing, troubleshooting, and problem resolution across Groton shipyard, Quonset Point, NNS, and Focus Factories. You will develop personnel and resources, provide technical direction, and coordinate with shipyard and external partners to accelerate programs during construction and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related engineering degree.
• Minimum of 4 years of post-graduate experience in engineering.
• Construction and test support experience.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and/or supervising teams and managing complex projects.
• Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends, to support critical work evolutions and schedule needs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 6-8 engineers in deck plate support of COLUMBIA Class non-propulsion plant electrical systems and cableways across multiple sites.
• Support installation, hookup, testing and troubleshooting of non-propulsion plant systems: HMC, IC battery and battery support, Circuit D, ICCP, galley, indication and control systems, and cableways.
• Develop personnel, performance and resource management; oversee technical direction to shipyard through UNSAT resolution and CN creation.
• Collaborate with EB waterfront organizations and external partners for troubleshooting, problem identification and resolution, vendor field service planning, and program acceleration in construction and test phases.
