Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Scheduling Specialist to manage and optimize scheduling for patients and physicians’ offices within hospital or medical facilities. You will coordinate appointments, procedures, and treatments across departments to ensure efficient use of resources and high-quality patient care.

The role acts as liaison between patients, medical staff, and administrative teams, ensuring timely and accurate scheduling while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certification in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
• 0–2 years in scheduling, patient coordination, or administrative support within healthcare.
• Experience with EHR or scheduling software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments for consultations, tests, procedures, and follow-ups.
• Notify patients of confirmations, cancellations, or reschedules with instructions.
• Enter patient info and appointments into EMR/Scheduling system.
• Coordinate with medical staff to align with clinical priorities.
• Track cancellations and no-shows and reschedule as needed.
• Provide administrative support: calls, referrals, and patient files.
