Madison Reed Hair Color Bar in Katy, TX is seeking an Assistant Colorist who will support licensed colorists and the manager. You will learn color theory, assist with shampoos, blowouts and color services, and help guests select products.

The role offers base pay plus commissions and tips, with potential for growth within the color bar. You must hold an active cosmetology license and enjoy a fast-paced beauty environment.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the applying state.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail; salon/beauty industry preferred.
• Strong communication and people skills in a fast-paced retail or salon.
• Proficient with point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to provide a guest experience aligned with our values.
• Perform behind-the-chair services including assisting in finishing services, shampooing, conditioning, styling, blowouts, toner and add-on services.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and other KPIs (retail, services, memberships).
• Ensure Hair Color Bar meets cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset standards.
• Adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies, processes, and procedures.
• Drive revenue through upselling memberships, subscriptions, home care products, and services.
• Support training from Assistant Colorist to Colorist to grow within Madison Reed.
