Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking a Hair Color Bar Assistant who is a licensed cosmetologist and passionate about beauty. You will support licensed colorists, assist with shampooing, styling, and treatments, and help guests choose products that fit their needs.

You will learn while contributing to a fast-paced, guest-centric salon environment. The role can be full or part time, with compensation that includes base hourly pay, commissions, and tips.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you apply.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail; salon/beauty preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and people skills in a fast-paced retail/salon.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Support licensed colorists and Shift Lead to ensure seamless guest experience from arrival to departure.
• Assist in finishing services, shampooing/conditioning, styling, blowouts, and other color bar services per guest request.
• Help achieve monthly sales goals through retail, services, and memberships.
• Ensure the Hair Color Bar meets cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security standards.
• Adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies, processes and procedures.
• Contribute to increasing revenue via additional services, memberships, and home care products.
• Participate in Colorist-to-Colorist training to grow skills within Madison Reed.
