Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking a Hair Color Bar Assistant who will support Licensed Colorists and Shift Lead to ensure a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. You will learn services, consult with guests on color options, and help with product applications while maintaining a clean, organized environment.

This role offers base hourly pay, commissions, and tips with potential earnings in a competitive range. Availability at peak times is required to best serve our guests.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state of application.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail sales; beauty industry preferred.
• Effective communication, problem solving and people skills in fast-paced retail/salon environment.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to provide a guest experience aligned with company values.
• Assist in finishing services and shampooing, plus styling and blowouts per guest request.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals (retail, services, memberships).
• Ensure the Hair Color Bar meets standards for cleanliness, merchandising and inventory.
• Adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies, processes and procedures.
• Drive revenue by increasing average service ticket and memberships, subscriptions, and home care products.
• Support learning and training toward promotion to Licensed Colorist.
• Colorist-to-Colorist training to grow career within Madison Reed.
