Job summary

Madison Reed Hair Color Bar is seeking a Hair Color Bar Assistant (Licensed Cosmetologist) to support Licensed Colorists and Shift Lead, learning services and building guest relationships in a fast-paced beauty retail setting.

You will assist with consultations, color bar services, and product education while learning to advance toward a Licensed Colorist role. This role may be full or part-time depending on business needs, with pay comprising base hourly pay, commissions, and tips.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state where you are applying.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail; salon or beauty industry preferred.
• Effective communication, strong problem solving and people skills in a fast-paced retail or salon environment.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and develop teamwork to provide guest experience aligned with company values.
• Assist in finishing services, shampooing, conditioning, styling, blowouts, and color-related services per guest request.
• Help achieve monthly sales goals including retail, services, and memberships.
• Ensure the Hair Color Bar meets standards for cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security.
• Adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies, processes and procedures.
• Drive revenue through increasing the service ticket via additional services, memberships, and subscriptions.
