Job summary

The Hair Color Bar Assistant at Madison Reed Hair Color Bar supports Licensed Colorists and the Shift Lead to provide a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure as you learn the services and work toward your next role.

This role offers base hourly pay, commissions, and tips with earnings ranging from $28–$29 per hour for this location. Actual compensation depends on performance, tenure, and time behind the chair.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you are applying.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail; beauty industry preferred.
• Effective communication, problem solving and people skills in a fast-paced retail or salon.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to deliver a guest experience.
• Assist in finishing services and shampooing, styling, blowouts, and color-related tasks.
• Support in achieving monthly sales goals and KPIs (retail, services, memberships).
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security in the Hair Color Bar.
• Follow Madison Reed systems, policies, processes and procedures.
• Drive revenue by increasing the average service ticket and memberships.
• Assist in training toward Licensed Colorist role.
