Job summary

Madison Reed Hair Color Bar is seeking a Hair Color Bar Assistant, Licensed Cosmetologist to support Licensed Colorists and the Shift Lead, ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure.

You will learn how to consult with guests, access hair care products, perform shampooing and blowouts, and participate in the unlimited roots membership program while preparing for promotion to Licensed Colorist within 3–9 months. Compensation includes base hourly pay, commissions, and tips.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you are applying.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail; salon or beauty industry preferred.
• Strong communication, problem solving and people skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and develop teamwork to provide a guest experience aligned with our values.
• Assist in finishing services, shampooing, conditioning, styling and add-on services per guest request.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals including retail, services and memberships.
• Ensure the Hair Color Bar meets cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security standards.
• Adhere to Madison Reed policies and procedures.
• Drive revenue through increasing average service ticket and memberships/subscriptions.
• Support Colorist training and pathway to promotion to Licensed Colorist.
