Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Colocation Development Manager to lead end-to-end development of data center sites, from site selection to contract negotiations and construction readiness.

You will interact with product, engineering, legal, and finance teams to shape and execute supply strategies across multiple markets. The role requires strong business, financial, and technical insight to negotiate multi-million-dollar transactions and deliver infrastructure aligned with business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
• 2–5 years in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements
• 2–5 years of professional or military experience
• 2–5 years of advising and influencing executive leadership experience
• Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
• Experience negotiating complex agreements with legal terminology understanding
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams and releases

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct colocation development from start to finish including site selection, financial analysis, contract negotiations, due diligence and site development
• Formulate and present long-term development strategies for specific markets to senior management
• Execute on strategic plans while coordinating with internal stakeholders (product, energy, fiber, design, construction, legal, tax)
• Understand design engineering requirements and develop solutions meeting design and business objectives
• Involvement in full contract negotiations to deliver building, power, and site requirements
• Prepare and present transaction summaries to senior management regarding progress and costs/benefits
• Support multiple complex contract negotiations simultaneously
• Be a key member of the DCSS team to drive innovation and results
• Travel roughly 25% of the time
