Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in the United States is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through precise assessment and repair of vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, ensuring speed, quality and customer excellence across the shop.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical schooling or a 3-year apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of technical school or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to collaborate with other repairers in a shop.
• Solid understanding of vehicle body repair methods and tool usage.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles using various tools.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and repair glass and interiors as needed.
• Weld and fit parts, and repaint vehicles to factory standards.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect repairs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
