Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through meticulous vehicle repairs. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, aiming to restore them to pre-accident condition while aligning with team KPIs and brand standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship. Expect to work with body repairs, painting, welding, and parts replacement in a fast-paced shop

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently.
• Plan repair work and prepare customer cost estimates using tools like cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, pliers.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair damage.
• Remove damaged sections and replace with parts; repair glass and windshields as needed.
• Repair interior parts as required.
• Weld/attach parts and repaint vehicles to specs; meet labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles post-repair to ensure correctness; perform other duties as assigned.
