Job summary

Group 1 Restoration Center in Houston is seeking a qualified Collision Estimator to support growth and momentum. The role involves assessing vehicle damage, communicating with customers and insurers, and preparing detailed repair estimates.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of collision estimating experience, relevant certifications, and strong customer service and communication skills. The position requires a professional appearance and a proactive, independent work style.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of collision estimator experience required.
• OE, I-CAR, or other collision estimating certifications a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Email, Excel, Word).
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers, schedules appointments, and collects vehicle information.
• Builds and maintains relationships with customers, insurance companies and coworkers.
• Explains work orders after listening to customer requests.
• Inspects vehicles to identify damage (structural, exterior, interior, mechanical).
• Calculates labor and parts costs and salvage value estimates.
• Reviews cost effectiveness of repair vs. replacement of parts.
• Determines costs for repainting or customization as needed.
• Completes insurance claim forms with repair or replacement recommendations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
• Demonstrates alignment with company values in all interactions.
