Group 1 Automotive is seeking a qualified Collision Estimator for a high-volume collision operation. The role involves greeting customers, documenting vehicle damage, and calculating repair estimates with attention to insurance requirements.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of estimator experience, I-CAR or equivalent certifications considered a plus, and strong communication skills. The position offers a fast-paced environment with opportunities for advancement and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Collision Estimator experience required.
• OE, I-CAR, or other collision estimating certifications a plus.
• Proven ability to write direct repair accounts for insurance companies, with experience managing multiple accounts.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
• Proficient at operating a personal computer including Microsoft Office: E-mail, Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record.
• Great attitude with high-energy personality.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and work ethic.
• Ability to work well in a process driven environment.
• Outstanding communication skills in both verbal and written

Responsabilités

• Greets customers upon arrival and communicates with them by phone, scheduling appointments and collecting vehicle information.
• Builds and maintains relationships with customers, insurance companies and co-workers.
• Lists customer requests and provides a clear explanation on the work order.
• Checks vehicles for damage: structural, exterior and interior, body and mechanical issues.
• Calculates estimated cost of labor and parts and salvage value.
• Reviews cost effectiveness of repair versus replacement of parts.
• Determines costs for repainting or other customization.
• Completes insurance claim forms with repair or replacement cost estimates and recommendations.
• Other duties may be assigned by management.
• Demonstrates behaviors aligned with the Company's Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors.
