Job summary

The Boyd Group in Gardendale, AL is seeking an Auto Body Shop Production Assistant to support the GM by ensuring repair materials are ready for technicians and by participating in final repair plan meetings, with dashboards kept current for smooth operation.

You will oversee disassembly for repair planning, manage parts flow, and coordinate vehicle movement through production, emphasizing proactive communication and efficient center use.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.
• Up to 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure materials needed for repairs are available to technicians.
• Oversee disassembly for repair planning and vehicle movement through production.
• Oversee parts intake, storage, and dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timing.
• Maintain proactive communication with technicians and management.
• Facilitate optimal use of collision center resources and equipment.
• Coordinate sublet functions and transport vehicles between stages.
• Direct porters and detailers to ensure timely vehicle movement and finishing.
