Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a Production Assistant to support the GM by ensuring materials are available for technicians, participate in repair planning, and keep dashboards current. You will help manage parts flow, coordinate with sublets, and ensure production timelines are met in a fast-paced collision center.

Ideal candidates bring basic repair knowledge, a service orientation, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities while following safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.
• Up to 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Oversee major disassembly for repair planning and vehicle movement through production stages.
• Manage parts oversight: receiving, storing, and dispatching parts as needed, ensuring accuracy.
• Maintain proactive communication with techs and GM about changes or variances from repair plans.
• Facilitate optimal use of collision center resources and equipment, ensuring readiness.
• Move vehicles through production steps as dispatched and when completed.
• Coordinate sublet functions and communicate scheduling to front office.
• Coordinate with metal and paint departments for scheduled vehicle movements.
• Maintain preventative maintenance for equipment and organize workspace.
