Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking a Production Assistant to support the GM by ensuring repair materials and parts are available to technicians, aiding in planning and huddles, and keeping dashboards current.

You will oversee parts intake from vendors, ensure accurate receiving, storage, and timely dispatch; coordinate vehicle movement through production; and collaborate with sublet teams while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.
• Up to 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees disassembly for repair planning and vehicle movement through departments.
• Parts oversight: receiving, storing and dispatching parts accurately and on time.
• Keeps techs and GM informed of changes or variances from repair plans and progress.
• Coordinate sublet functions and communication with front office regarding scheduling and movement.
