Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking an Auto Body Technician in Zachary, LA to deliver meticulous vehicle repairs and top-tier customer service. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, realign frames, and ensure quality finishes that restore cars to pre-accident condition.

Responsibilities include planning repairs, preparing estimates, welding, refinishing, and inspecting completed work. A technical program or apprenticeship and ability to lift 30 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair required.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Thorough understanding of repair methods for vehicle bodies.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and work in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore pre-accident condition.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and interior parts as needed.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines; inspect vehicles post-repair.
