Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience through meticulous assessment and high-quality repair to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. The technician disassembles, repairs, and reassembles vehicles while working with teammates to meet KPIs and acting as a Brand Ambassador for The Boyd Group.

Key duties include planning repairs, estimating costs, and using tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, and welders to restore

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of tools used to repair vehicle bodies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers using appropriate tools.
• Remove, repair, and replace damaged sections and glass; realign frames and perform painting or finishing as required.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure work meets quality standards and KPIs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
