Job summary

Northwestern Mutual seeks College Financial Representatives to launch and grow an integrated financial planning practice while leveraging the support of a Fortune 500 company. You’ll gain coaching, access to exclusive products, and a pathway to full-time opportunities after graduation.

As an intern, you’ll learn prospecting, develop business strategy, and prepare plans for clients, with licensing support and nationwide resources to help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Full-time student; juniors and seniors preferred.
• Entrepreneurial ambitions and curiosity for sales.
• Highly involved on campus (leader, athlete, campus orgs, student government, etc)
• Excellent time-management skills
• Interest in financial literacy and planning tools
• Business savvy and desire to increase critical thinking abilities

Responsibilities

• Learn prospecting and networking to build your business and client base
• Develop and execute on a business strategy
• Call on potential clients and set meetings to understand their financial goals
• Prepare plans and offer useful recommendations
• Gain exposure to proprietary planning software platforms
• Engage in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings
