Job summary

CFCC seeks a Communication Instructor to deliver classroom and online instruction to college students across modalities, including Face to Face, Hybrid, Blended, and HyFlex. A Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Communication is required, with a preference for prior college teaching experience.

Familiarity with the Communication courses offered is highly desirable. Responsibilities include developing lessons and assessments, advising students, and contributing to curriculum and program

Qualifications

• Master's degree earned from a regionally accredited college or university with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Communication courses.
• Preference for prior teaching experience as a Communication Instructor at the college level.
• Knowledge of and ability to teach Communication courses: Interpersonal Communication, Intro to Intercultural Communication, Public Speaking, and Introduction to Mass Communication.
• Familiarity with Canvas online learning software.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and/or online instruction to CFCC students across modalities (Face to Face, Hybrid, Blended, HyFlex).
• Prepare lesson plans, develop assessments, and maintain records of attendance and performance.
• Act as academic advisor or counselor and participate in curriculum development and program evaluation.
• Stay current with developments in Communications and participate in faculty development activities.
